A real-life story in a
hit broadway musical
One of the things I love about design is all the interesting people I meet. Gleam Joel is one of them. Gleam grew up in Nairobi, overcoming domestic abuse, drugs, crime and violence to attend music school in Switzerland. His rap style grew in popularity, especially in Germany. Teaming up with Ed Rampell, they produced a hit Broadway musical. His message resonated and his fan base grew so fast his Facebook page stopped working. Gleam moved to Los Angeles to produce a new version with local talent when his manager disappeared with all his funding.
