Branding Nourish Kauai

The pandemic hit Kaua’i hard:
over 50% unemployment, food distribution centers and farmer’s markets were closed, and farmers skipped plantings and tilled crops. People were hungry.
Nourish Kaua’i filled the need by sourcing locally produced food,
then cooking and distributing meals.

NK had all the ingredients for beautiful branding, except A budget. But then how often does the opportunity to help feed an island come along?

 
 

The logo is comprised of a simple bowl decorated with hibiscus and kukui.
The red heart symbolizes NK’s mission statement:

Nourishing Kaua’i with locally sourced ingredients and love.


The heart-shaped steam rises from the bowl.
In the brand video, the logo rises from the mist like a hot air ballon floating over the landscape.

A tropical palette, stunning landscapes, Farms, the people of kaua’i,
and close-ups of magnificent produce
bring the brand story to life.


 

The tagline encourages eating local.

Meal kits with recipes simplify shopping and cooking, and encourage healthy eating on the island.

stationery and stickers.
